Colbrow Medics has assisted AFL football clubs at all levels from local junior clubs up to,
and including senior AFL clubs.

Colbrow Medics has assisted AFL football clubs at all levels, from local junior clubs up to, and including senior AFL clubs. By its very nature, football is a sport that is very tough on the body, so players need access to immediate medical attention when they have been injured. It is in the Club’s best interests that they minimise the damage injuries caused to players and the best way to do that is by providing first aid care as soon as an injury occurs. Club Committee Members have a duty of care to their players and members to ensure players are appropriately cared for if they are injured. This duty of care extends to complying with the League’s Policy and Procedure, relating to having appropriately trained Medics and Trainers on hand on match days. Individual Committee Members may be held liable if the Committee fails to comply with the League’s Policies and Procedures and a player is injured. When football clubs use our Medics for match day, the Committee can be assured that they are comprehensively insured and protected by our 20 million dollar Professional Indemnity Insurance. Because Medics are employees and not volunteers, they are also are covered by our WorkCover Policy so if they are injured on the job, the Committee or Club will not have to pay them compensation.

Colbrow Medics has provided medics for football club family days, match days and community days. We have also provided sports trainers, where and when required. We have treated all manner of injuries from the field, including cuts and grazes, concussion, broken limbs and even suspected spinal injuries. No matter the level of your club within the League, Colbrow Medics can help with your Medics and Sports Trainers requirements.
